Ella Baker Book + Poster Memorabilia
Ella Baker was a prominent figure in the Civil Rights movement, though her role remained largely behind the scenes, coordinating and planning events from a less public chair. To convey this idea, I utilized semi-opaque materials. The shell of the packaging is made from frosted acrylic, which subtly obscures her name. The book jackets are printed on opaque glassine paper, creating a similar effect by partially covering imagery of Ella. Certain words on the poster appear darker to spell "Ella Baker." Text from both the book jackets and the poster is sourced from the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Concept Ideation Art Direction Book Layout & Design Poster Design Packaging Design
